Thermal energy storage

Our range of products includes tanks of special design, which are designed to collect thermal energy and take the excess from the heating or cooling system for future use. This is a more economical and partial alternative to electricity storage. Excess electricity, e.g.: produced from a renewable energy system, is converted by a heat or cooling pump into thermal energy. We store and use this energy during periods when electricity production is at a lower level.

The energy storage units we offer can be installed both in small systems with a single source of heat or cooling, as well as in very complex installations powered by various sources. They work with traditional heat sources and ecological solutions such as heat pumps, solar collectors, water chillers, etc. Our buffers can perform various functions:

  • storing surplus energy in the form of heat or cooling (chilled water),
  • extending the operating time of a heat source in a single cycle,
  • acting as a hydraulic coupling (connects different sources and different offtakes)
  • balancing heat energy surpluses and shortages,
  • lowering the excessively high temperature of the heat source,
  • protecting against overheating of the system,

The thermal energy storage units we propose are high-quality, highly durable, efficient and highly insulated buffers, and can be designed as short- or long-term, storing heat from 1 day to several months. Thermal energy storage can be connected to the heating system in parallel or in series.

All our devices, can be integrated into the MICROGRID (in the hybrid energy system) configured from the devices we offer, according to individual client needs.

We recommend conducting an energy and economic analysis and audit, in order to fine-tune the heat and cold storage and other devices included in your MICROGRID.
